About PEGASUS MUSIC... Pegasus Music was started by Errol & Ginny Peters in 1981 after the sale of their recording studio/record label, Innovation. Innovation had been very successful in that it paved the road to success for such recordings as, "The Bridge" by Dean Waretini and "Don't Play Me A Symphony" by Ann Dumont, both chart topping recordings in New Zealand. While running Innovation, Errol & Ginny realised that there were a number of great songwriters who did not have an avenue open for them to get their songs exposed to the world. So, Pegasus was born. Over the past twenty four years Pegasus has achieved cuts in New Zealand, Australia, U.S.A., Canada, England, France and Germany for the songwriters that we represent.
Pictured above: Errol & Ginny Peters with Cliffie Stone (left). Pegasus employs a song-plugger in Nashville and works with contacts in all the music centres of the world. Our policy is to only work on songs that we really feel we can place and not to sign a song unless we believe that we can acheive this. While Country Music has been the focus of Pegasus Music we do also include Pop, Rock, MOR and Jazz in our catalogue. For example, a pop song "THIS TIME" written by Rob Innes is the launching track for a new German Pop artist - Mike Davids - at the Popkomm Festival in Berlin this year and several Jazz songs of New York writer Tom Martucci's have been recorded by English artist Neville Skelly. Past successes include: "I ONLY SEE YOU', a big hit for Dennis Marsh in New Zealand; "ANGEL THINGS" and "KISSING DISTANCE", both charting songs for Craig Byrne in Australia; "IN THE ARMS OF A MEMORY", a number one song in Australia for Brian Letton; songs on six gold albums for Dennis Marsh; as well as several charting songs by Ginny Peters both in New Zealand and the U.S.A. The Pegasus roster of writers includes, Rob Innes, Sally Burgess, Lynn Walters, Wendy & Errol Nicholson, Yvonne Marsh, Jim Bradshaw Sean & Amanda O'Connor and Ginny Peters (all New Zealand), Kenny Clark, Brian McArdle, Larry G. Wilson, Gaylon Embrey, Peter Anderson and Tom Martucci (all U.S.A.). We also work with writers in Australia and Canada. Please E-mail for our current submission policy. |
